Free Reusable Water Bottles for Skybreak Staff

Skybreak, the UK’s leading airport representation company, is helping its staff get involved in its efforts to reduce the use of single-use plastic by providing refillable water bottles, free of charge. Across both terminals at Gatwick Airport, the 50 staff work in shifts on two desks, assisting and advising passengers who need help with their travel.

Lecia Taylor, Director at Skybreak, said, “We take care to encourage our teams to keep hydrated during their shifts and use the free Refill stations at Gatwick Airport to top up their liquid intake. As responsible employers we wanted to help keep our staff healthy and impact, even in a small way, the amount of single-use plastic consumed in the airport.”

The Skybreak desks are visited by up to 500,000 travellers every year and as Lecia  adds: “It is important that Skybreak demonstrates to all its stakeholders, which include our customers as well as other airport workers ,that we are committed to reducing our environmental impact wherever we can, and hopefully we can encourage greater numbers of re-usable water bottles in the airport as a whole.”
